M&S Bread Packaging

This university project was to bring life back in to mundane bread packaging.

The brief involved design for an artisan, gluten free and value loaf (as seen below). The concept for each design stemmed directly from garments in the M&S archives located on university property. The artisan was based off of a post-war dress adorned with lavish frills and trills, celebrating end of rationing. The gluten free design was based off a sub-brand's garment, Autograph, combined with the chemical structure for xantham gum. Finally the value loaf took inspiration from an early 20th century baked goods uniform.
